Para-Sports Support & Participation
At Ever Support Services, we actively support people with disability to participate in inclusive para-sports across Australia. Whether you are new to sport or an experienced athlete, we provide practical, hands-on support to help you engage safely, confidently, and consistently in the sports you love.
Australia has a growing and vibrant para-sports community, offering opportunities for people with disability to stay active, build skills, and connect socially through sport.
We proudly support participation in:
Wheelchair Basketball
Wheelchair AFL
Para Ice Hockey
Other adaptive and inclusive sports
Ever Support Services works closely with participants to explore suitable para-sports options based on individual interests, physical needs, confidence levels, and long-term goals.
We provide practical disability support to remove barriers and enable meaningful participation in para-sports. Our support can include:
Community access support to attend training sessions, games, and competitions
Transport assistance to and from sporting venues
On-site support workers during training or matches
Assistance with sport wheelchairs and equipment handling
Support with routines, preparation, and recovery
Confidence-building and encouragement in new sporting environments
All supports are tailored to your NDIS goals and delivered in a way that promotes independence, safety, and enjoyment.
Participation in para-sports is about far more than physical activity.
Para-sports play a critical role in:
Improving physical health, strength, and endurance
Supporting mental health, motivation, and emotional wellbeing
Building social connections and reducing isolation
Developing self-confidence, identity, and resilience
Creating a sense of belonging and purpose
For many participants, sports such as wheelchair basketball, wheelchair AFL, and para ice hockey become a key part of daily structure, routine, and long-term lifestyle goals.
Ever Support Services actively supports participants to connect with inclusive para-sports clubs across Australia. We can assist with:
Exploring suitable clubs and programs
Attending “come and try” or introductory sessions
Ongoing attendance at training and competitions
Liaison with coaches, coordinators, and clubs as required
Whether you want to play socially, train competitively, or simply be part of a sporting community, we help you take the next step.
